We recently recieved our first playstation 3 for repair. the owner was complaining of clunking noises coming from the cd/dvd/blueray drive. upon inspection we discovered that there were serveral coins that had been inserted into the drive. Now kids, you don't have to pay anymore for this console by inserting coins, you've already payed enough!!! |

This shot of the new GPU heatsink uncovered by xbox-scene.com shows a similar copper heat pipe to the CPU , it is fluid filled, the position also of the heat sink fins are now in the section of the console which has the greatest airflow. The position of the current GPU heatsink tends to receive little airflow especially once a HDD is connected to the console. We still have not seen any of these heatsinks in AUS xbox 360's but we are trying to source them. The question still remains will it remedy the current batch of xbox360's or are they all destined for the 3RL of doom? |

We have read reports of microsoft now shipping improved heatsinks in some consoles returned to them for warranty repairs and new units, so far only in the UK and USA. We recently had a customers machine in ironically with reading errors but discovered these nasty scorch marks on the underside of the dvd drive! Dare we say about time! What about all the other 360 users ms? |

Bungie recently announced the comeback of 2 more halo CE maps! The maps getting the old touch up and make over job should keep the halo 2 fans at peace a little longer whilst the wait for halo 3 seems to be never ending... On April 17 we will see the ol' fav Hangem High rebadged as 'Tombstone' and Derelict as 'Desolation'. The maps will be available for $4 and be downloadable on both xbox and xbox360! checkout bungies site here for the latest goss! |

Nintendo has the DS, Sony the PSP, what about Microsfot? Well theres been rumours about the "xboy" circulating the net for sometime and new line of processors from AMD may make it all possible. The Imageon processor line, announced by AMD last month, is essentially a "GPU" for mobile devices. Imageon has support for 3D and 2D graphics, audio processing, digital still and video cameras, TV out, video recording with image stabilization, video transcoding, and various other multimedia features. |
