Recovering from a bad flash in version 1.3 XBOX
there was some minor bus routing changes on the bottom of 1.3 boxes, this will allow you to recover from that dreaded bad flash with the aid of an appropiate flash/eprom, i use a 29f040 variant B (even my slow 120ns works sweet).long live the tsop!
please note the pic numbers are just an index, full info is disclosed to the pin id's of the flashrom and also the corresponding id's of your average 'homebrew' mod....im sure you can work it out
format is as follows (it maybe more confusing at first but you get more info):

cant confirm if there are any changes to this on a 1.4 yet, email me if you have any info
the main points of interest are my pic id# 15 - 21 & 31, the rest are well documented in bunnies pics and visor's tutes.
- step 1 - program a flashrom with something like an x2 4977 or evoxd3 or even a cromwell and solder it in
- step 2 - disable the onboard (use ce) and boot from the dip32
- step 3 - now your xbox is alive again disable the dip32 (i use oe to do this,(or you can switch out the power and gnd) the main concern is the extra flashrom is not loading the bus down)
- step 4 - flash your onboard with your fav flashing tool (i recommend raincoat (cheers to numbnut for that one!)
- step 5 - desolder it and dont screw up again ;)
