hdd detection?

i cant see why not, it doesnt interefere with the original dash, the main prob with live these days is the checking of original hdd status etc, i wouldnt reccomend try to run any modded system with live , considering you need to reveal all your details to ms.

i was looking on the net 2day and there is a mod chip called "Aladdin" that lets you disable it so that you can use xbox live safely. Is this so?

disable switch

the most common method used for using a modded box on live, is a disable switch connected to the modded bios, this may work in instances where you are not using 'mod apps' on your hd and you havent upgraded you hdd. just be wary as just switching back to a retail bios doesnt hide the contents of your hdd to those who have a direct connection to your box.
