Does anyone know of a MP3 ripping tool that runs on the XBox, all i know of is the ASF tool which bill built into the MSDash for us. Reckon its around the corner?

the msdash actually rips to wma, you probably know that
the msdash actually rips to wma, you probably know that
an actual mp3 encoding tool would be nice though!
you can dump pre encoded mp3's with dvd to xbox if the on a stndard iso 9660 disc

Yeah sorry i had ASF on the brain. Hmm yeah it would be nice to rip straight to MP3. And it can be easily done with Xebian/Gentoo Etc.. ode for a encoder. anyone fancy porting Lame encoder?

ok weve got an app to encode mp3's direct to the box without the penguin!

Will the mp3 ripping have cddb support? that would deffinatly be a cool option. Also.. I would like to Betatest the dash :) and im also ordering a limited edition white japanese xbox :) mmm

What codec are you using?

hopefully there will be VBR support :)and the abilit to rip slower to save getting all those nasty clicks and pops
